What type of dog should i get thatll get along with my dog HELP2007-11-25 2:53:42

I want to save my money up for a puppy. What type of dog would get along well with a blacklab/goldenretriever mix that is VERY sweet? I want to get the perfect pet that my parents will aproove.

any dog should its all on how you raise it and if it is raisedf with that dog they should be fine get a type that you really want.

If you want a sweettempered easygoing pup, a lab is probably your best bet. I would steer clear of and shepherds or cattle dogs, they are rambunctious.

the type of dog doesn't usually go by how they go with others.pitbulls.maybe... it depends if your dog will approve of another house pet..you should try taking it to a dog park..some dogs may get along with other dogs and some may not..depends upon THEIR behavior.

I have owned several dogs,,I have 4 now,,,the best dogs I have EVER owned,,,I have kids and being family friendly and a good watch dog and so far out of the few I owned,,,they all got along with others,and most any puppy gets along with other dogs,,But the best dog,,would have top be a sheep herder,,they love kids and are active and well behaved dogs..The ones we have wouldnt bark at kids or women,,,but wouldnt let any man near the yard or my kids,,,They are playful and most have a beautiful coat and long or medium hair..I do alot of brushing when they shed,,but are in my opion are the best dogs we have owned.

Some animal shelters will let you bring your dog in when you come in to choose a new dog. See if you are allowed to bring your dog inside and see what other doggies he gets along with.
