My mom doesnt want to get a dog because she doesnt want dog hair evrywhere and stuff. so im looking for a small medium sized dog. i have a 3 year old sister so i wouldnt want a dog that would be knocking her down and stuff.

Small to medium sized dogs that don't shed so much are: Schit-zus, Maltese, Schnauzers, Poodles, Lhasa-apso and some terriers.

My sister just got a cockapoo pup and everyone says Cockers and Poodles are the worst breed of dog for kids, but I tell you Ella is the sweetest thing on earth. She is so calm and just melts when you hug her, and she chases and plays with my 2 year old sister. Why don't you try this?

I know this is really girly but you can get a toy poodle. We have a black one. They don't shed and they are too small to knock anyone down. My mom is diabled and this dog is small enough for her to take care of.

A Bichon might be a good choice. They are small and sturdy and extremely lively and amiable. Not real yappers, either. (good IMO) They do require grooming to keep that curly coat in line but don't shed much.

Cocker - Not an American Black. Most buff cockers have great temperaments, and don't shed.. They do need grooming and any dogs with longer hair. Our cocker is a cuddler as is our yellow lab. But the Lab sheds terribly.
