#2 Your lab is just a puppy and they have not figured out yet where it is appropiate to go to the bathroom. Take her for a nice long walk before she goes to bed. If she pees in her crate in the middle of the night and you did not caught her in the act, she will not understand why you are disciplining her. Discipline her only when you catch her in the act. Where you place her kennel is up to you,most people I know have them in a separate room other than their own bedroom.

Chew toys- put a little peanut butter on a toy you want her to chew on, see if that works

well what i would do is she might be destressed which means she does not like being in the cage so what i would do is either get puppy pads or newspaper and lay it in the spot and put her on there and thats where she will go thats how i trained my puppys and im still training one he is only 7wks old and my other dog is 1 year soo

Yes they have to chew everything, Yes several have been known to whiny

Limit the area in the crate. Just enough room to curl up to sleep. Don't gie her enough room to pee.

All dogs are hard work. They don't potty train over night. Some training might work right away on one dog and you might take different approach on the other even if it's the same breed.

I have a 7 month old yorkie. She did the same as you described. I put her in her crate at night and she would whine until she goes to sleep. She's not too yappy so I can't hear her in the middle of the night when she has to go. Anyway, she would go in her crate and when I finally hear her crying because she peed, I'd get up and clean her up and her crate. Then back in her crate again to get some sleep. This went on for over a month.
