Truthfully you just have to face your fears. My mom who has been around dogs all life had a real bad experience around a dog. After it she was terrified of them. But everyone in our family is a dog person and has at least 2 (and 2 big ones). But all of our dogs are well balanced trained and friendly. Try to find a friend or relative that has a dog like that and start spending time with them. The more you do the more comfortable you will get.

First step is to find puppies, small ones and interact with them, handle them feed them and give them water and let them play with you. They do have teeth and they may even nip at you but you just tell them NO in a firm voice but not too loud and when they stop you'll feel you have control. Do this with bigger dogs and it also works. You can even give them the command to sit or stay as your saying NO. Is it the fear of them jumping on you or biting you? Just tell them No, show them it's wrong to do this. You'll feel more in control and your fear should subside.

Depends on how severe your fear is. You can try flooding, just go to a dog park and surround yourself with dogs. You'll see that they aren't so bad when they're all running around playing and not paying any attention to you.
