its always fun to get the hose out. they love to *bite* the water. my dog does that. Its so funny. If you live near a lake (i do) bring them for a swim. or a pond ect. Take him to a park.. all dogs love a nice stroll in the park! good luck hopefully you find something cooling for the both of you.

my puppy likes to have a gallon water jug frozen with the cap off so he can chew on something cold---if you don't have a big dog then you could just modify it by giving him a 20 oz frozen water bottle with the cap off (important safety measure to take the cap off)

get some veggie or beef stock (NO SALT ADDED) and mix it with water. get the ice cube tray and freeze it. YUMMI!

i think you should give your dog, fruit..if you plan on giving him watermelon TAKE THE SEEDS OUT..SINCE IT IS GOING TO BE HOT OUTSIDE MAKE SURE HE GETS PLENTY OF WATER..
