I love animals and dogs & cats. Right now my family has two dogs. One is seven and on is little over a year. I am stay @ home mother and a son who is a 5th grader so I am by myself a lot and I feel more protected with the dogs. They are great company too. I do highly recommend mix breed instead of full breed. They seem more loving and medically they are good too.

First of all, dogs are alot of work and need love, attention, care, feeding, exercise, training and companionship every day for the next 12 or more years. If your willing to commit yourself to that then dogs make the best of friends, protectors, exercise buddies, etc. I have three dogs and they are there for me no matter what! Your local animal shelter is a great place to get a loving pet! Good luck!

well, tell them that a dog teaches responsibility. they also are there for you when you feel like no one else is. but, God helps even more. maybe tell them you are looking for a friend that you can share your feeling with. thats what dogs are best for. best of wishes!
