Whats cuter, a tea-cup Maltese or a tea-cup Pomeranian in white2007-11-25 2:53:52

They do not have "tea cup" in either breed. There are people that will advertise "tea cup" because they keep breeding to get extremely small dogs. I have two Maltese. One weighs 10 pounds and the other 9.40 pounds. That is large for a Maltese. Their normal weight is between 5 & 7 pounds.

I have seen them about 4 pounds. Mine are larger because the breeder has not played around. As a result my dogs are super intelligent. They come from a good line.

I have a good breeder so I don't worry about all the breeding people do to get the dogs that small. As far as the Poms go, they only come in one size.

there are no such thing as ''tea cups'' breeders only say that to try to sell them because theyre the runt of the litter and usually end up getting sick because of their small size- well thats what i heard. but out of the maltese and pom i would say pom coz their so cute 脳脳脳

As many of the others said, tea-cup is just advertising & not a true size. The maltese is white only with fine hair that needs daily brushing & grooming on a regular basis. The pom can be red/brown or black & also requires daily brushing. Especially in the spring when they lose their winter coat. Some owners will take them to the groomer to keep the hair short.

Both are very sweet dogs, active & high strung. Please keep an eye on the maltese for sunburn & watch them both for dental disease.

Don't be suckered in by the advertising.
