It is a little early but not much, I would say that yes she is in season, You should be able to get her spayed at about 16th July, but check with your vet.

No its not early at all. there is NO set sate when a dog should come into season...usually 4 months to 18 months depending on the size.

maybe the dog is older than u think,gut they can come into season at 6 months,mine was late at 10 months and now 20 months old is geting spayed

Of course. That is perfectly normal. Many dogs come in heat at that age and the smaller the breed the earlier as a general rule. You need to find another vet. I have worked with vets, both large and small animal, for many years and i have never heard of a vet tell anyone that. That is very wrong. 85% of dogs not spayed BEFORE their first heat will develop cancer in their life. As I said not after first heat, BEFORE. He is giving you bad info. You should have researched what he told you. apparantly you can't even put your trust in your vet anymore. I cant believe you were told to wait. Unbelievable. And your dog can be spayed now. You do not have to wait. Vets spay dogs in heat and pregnant.

It may be that your ***** is actually older than 5 months. If you has all of her adult teeth she is probably about 6 months old. I would,nt worry if she is already in season, it is quite normal for bitches to come into season anytime after 6 months some do come in earlier.
