Whats the best dog food2007-11-25 2:53:54

I've got a golden retriever and a chow. They've been on Pedigree, but their urine is burning my grass, so I'm gonna try changing their food. Any suggestions??

Pedigree is a low quality food, so I'm glad that you are wanting to change. The best foods are not typically found at your local grocery stores. I shop at my locally owned pet supply store and they sell ONLY top quality foods like EVO, Innova, Pinnacle, Timberwolf, Wellness, Wysong, Solid Gold, and similar products.

Remember, what you want to look for is a product that uses human grade ingredients and no fillers like corn or wheat.

I don't know about the lawn, but for your dog's nutrition, read the ingredients on the food you buy. Go with a high quality dog food. A grain should not be in the first couple ingredients ingredient (corn and such are mainly fillers, dogs don't digest it well). Avoid foods that have a lot of "by products" listed.
