Keep a very close eye on him, make sure he has close access to plenty of fresh water.

My baby recently was like this and i was so worried. The vet was quite concerned as his temp was 40 and he gave him 1 shot of something to get the temp down asap and another of antibiotics. Then he gave me antibiotic tablets for him and said not to worry if he doesnt want to eat for a few days but make sure he has plenty of water.

Are you sure you can't get him to an animal hospital or emergency vet?

Depending on how the dog is acting I'd say find an emergency vet-NOW! Your dog may have a serious condition. If that's not an option keep him/her well hydrated,warm and comfortable. Try to keep him/her away from stresses like loud noises,children and other dogs since you may harm the ill one more and make a not sick dog ill. Good luck:>)

there is no treatment you can do for him. All vets have a emergency service which you need to take your pup to. Puppies will deteriorate very quickly and become quite sick.

I don't know about your vet, but mine when you call them after hours they have a list of emergency numbers you can call after closing. This is why they have emergency hospitals that are open 24 hours a day. You didn't say how high his temperature was. I would think if you knew enough to take the dog temperature that he was sick enough for emergency vet care.

i would find an emergency vet that is on call if i was you. your puppy sounds like he got into something he shouldnt have or caught something. call around or look in your yellow pages for emergency numbers.

Your vet's surgery should have an emergency number for you to ring and then a vet should meet you at the surgery. If not change your vet immediately and make arrangements to get your puppy seen now. Puppies can go down very quickly and it could be any number of things.
