Similar in appearance but very different in temperament. The Manchester is a Terrier & the Min. Pin is a toy breed.

A min Pin is a man made breed where they bred possibly several dogs until they got one that bred true and became it's own breed. A manchester Terrier while they look similar is much larger and is a breed all it's own. Not sure where it's ancestry came from. maybe someone else can answer that. There are also miniature manchester terriers, I think they are called Toy manchester terriers. Probably bred for smallness and now it's in their genes.

A MinPin is short for a Miniature Pinscher... it is a form of Doberman bred to be smaller and smaller until it is of toy size. The Manchester Terrier is of an entirely different breed, one that comes in both a standard and toy size. Coats are similar, both short haired, but the Manchester usually is black and tan whereas the Min Pin can be red or black and tan. The Min Pin is the smaller of the two. Usually only as big as 10 lbs. The Manchester can be as much as 17 lbs.

First, you are aware that there are more than one veriety of Manchesters, and a "Toy Manchester Terrier" isn't even shown in the Terrier Group, and is in fact about the same size as a Min Pin.
