I just trained my puppy to go on the pee pads----but now we are training to go outside too. If you catch her when shes going where shes not supposed to--pick her up quick and put her on the pad-with a quick NO--this will startle her and she will stop (when shes pooping she might not stop but you have to do it anyways or she wont learn) When she does go on the pad and you see her doing it-right when she is done praise her ALOT. Eventually she will go right to the pad- but make sure you change the pad when theres a lot of pee on it or she wont go anymore and it will smell. And when there poop on it pick it up with toilet paper and put it in the toilet--no need to waste bags :) GOOD LUCK!

If you really don't want him to potty in the house, it's MUCH better to train them from the start to go OUTSIDE. If they learn (by using puppy pee pads) that it's O.K. to potty in the house, they just get confused. How are they supposed to know when it's O.K., and when it's NOT? If they learn from the beginning that it's NOT O.K., then there's never a question in their mind. And think about it, do you REALLY want to be picking up "puppy pads" , and cleaning up "accidents" 10 years from now?
