Whats the problem with chihuahuas2007-11-25 2:54:41

whilst walking my chihuahua i get sarky comments, why is this!? someone has to give these dogs a home!

there is nothing wrong with them they are sweet and dinky and have character i think,my friend has one and he is adorable,he plays well with the kids he loves going for a walk,and he is so affecionate,i have dogs and don't worry about comments people give you

you know your dog is the best dog in the world and hes with you and you love him.

It doesn't look like a real dog (to me, no creature that is smaller than a cat deserves to be called a dog) and they tend to yap ridiculously and nip. A lot of people find their toes itching whenever they see a chihuahua, so you're actually quite lucky that all you've had so far is sarcasm. If nobody bought them from breeders they wouldn't exist any more, so no problem with homelessness!

Probably because they've been populised as an accessory rather than a pet, by spoilt rich famous kids. And people may percieve them all as such, rather than just those ones which are treated as an accessory.

They are adorable wee things, in my opinion.

i totally understand, i have 5 chihuahuas, and i get comments like its a cat or a rat on a lead. They are the most loving, kind, sweet little dog's i no. Mine love to go for a walk, and enjoy making a fuss of people who they meet in the street.
