FOR THOSE PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER OWNER A CHIHUAHUA BUT FEEL THEY SHOULD MAKE COMMENT ABOUT THE SIZE, BEHAVIOUR, YOU NEED TO GET A LIFE, THEY ARE NOT SNAPPY LITTLE THINGS, BUT THEY DO NO WHO TO LIKE AND WHO NOT TO LIKE, AND YES YOU ARE THE SMALL MINDERED PEOPLE THEY DONT, AND TO BE HONEST GOOD FOR THEM

I have a 16 month old female chihuahua that I am totally attached to. I am a guy. She eats with me, and sleeps with me. She's all white with a choclate heart on her back. So far I haven't encountered any negativity. They wouldn't want to go there with me. I live in Springfield, Mo. Good luck with yours. I'm always looking in open questions. Dennis B.

Most people tend to treat them like toys and dress them up or put them in bags etc so now they are seen as a joke. It's an unfortunate side effect of having a 'fashionable' dog.

Their small size also makes them a target for silly comments, the 'Why have you got a rat on a lead?' type.

Sorry but it's something you will have to learn to live with.

Mine is greeted with fear and suspicion and I know some big hard men who cross the road rather than walk past her!

It used to bother me that people thought her dangerous but not anymore.
