Whats with you Humans and the DOGS2007-11-25 2:53:57

Its in their nature to bark, try talking to the owners. I'm constantly asking my neighbors if they hear my dog barking b/c I want to stop it before it gets annoying.

The best thing to do and right step forward woul be to individually talk to the owner of every dog that barks too much. Keep a log of when you spoke to who. That way you have documented should every step in case you have to take further steps. If that doesn't help at all, you could consider ringing the police, although if it's for several different owners of dogs, I think they might not take it all that serious, but it is worth to try. You could also contact your local housing association or estate carers, and discuss it. With a bit of goodwill from all parties involved, the solution could be just around the corner.That's my advise to help you.

I would like to say however, that not all of us dogowners are irresponsible or do not care. I myself have 2 dogs, among a boatload of other animals. They are very obedient and are no bother to anybody at all, not even the postman. So please bare in mind that not all of us are evil.

My dog barks once if someone enters the driveway and he's inside, then he comes to me.

If he's outside he barks once if anyone comes into our yard, the neighbors, or the empty lot on the other side, again he then comes to me.
