I have 3 dogs... they bark when we are all playing outside during the day. I dont let them and they know the be quiet command but sometimes they are allowed to bark during play because they like to. They never bark for hours or long periods of time. Many of my neighbours dogs do, and it IS annoying. As a dog owner I respect my neighbours too much to allow my dogs to bark constantly. When I hear other dogs barking for hours I just scream out my door for them to shut up, or shut their dog up. It usually works because I will keep screaming until they stop it.. ha ha They may be able to ignore their dog barking but they cant ignore me yelling my head off. Mwahahaha. I wouldnt call the police unless it was all night long. during the day you cant make a noise complaint only after certain hours. You know what pisses me off worse tho? People's kids and their friggin fire crackers.. they terrify my dog for hours just from one POP now that I will not tolerate... and once again I scream out the door to stop with the firecrackers or ill call the police.. it usually works too. haha I like yelling at people, it pisses them off

Agreed. I can understand dogs barking occasionally, or if there is some disturbance (like a fire truck) whizzing by. Constant barking is irritating and shows lack of discipline by the owner.

Luckily where I live, because it's an apartment-type place, most have trained their dogs not to bark constantly because they will get kicked out! I guess when people have their own house and land, they think no one can hear the barking, or that since it's their property they can do whatever the hell they want.
