Whats wrong with my dog2007-11-25 2:53:58

my dog is losing her hair and has these very huge blisters that are growing on her back...what could it be? please help before its to late!

Sounds like it might be hot spots (moist dermititis), if your dog is itchy as well that's a good way to know.

I would get a vet appointment soon so they can determine if that is what it is, or if it is something more serious.

My friend's dog had something similar happen. Her dog started going bald and had horrible reddening of the skin. I thought it was hot spots but she took her dog to the vet and it turned out to be a food allergy.

Either way, you need to take your dog to the vet and get a professional opinion.

Sounds like hot spots, but I agree that you should take her to the vet. If it is hot spots, there is a great breeder that sells a good product for hot spots. A co-worker of mine recommended an ear product from them that I used to use for my puppy who had chronic ear infections. I have not tried their NO HOT SPOTS product, but it may be worth a try.
