Whats wrong with my puppy :O(2007-11-25 2:53:59

well i have a brown/chocolate chihuahua he is 6 months old and he is very active but he has been kind of tired and sleepy all day yesturday he was kind of like out of it, his stomach was beginning to move it looked like really bad hickups and then he would throw up and he would do this about every 20 mins and im beggining to get really worried but now after he threw up a little now he's all nosey and active like right about now he is trying to bite my fingers on the keys LOL but i am really worried because its not regular for him to not be rediculously active and he is really quiet right about now what should i do i contacted a vet but he wasnt of much help...what should i do..?

Answers:

First check your food and make sure that you do not have any of the recalled foods. Also, watch when he goes to the bathroom and make sure that he doesn't have the runs and that you do not see any worms in it. If he has worms you should be able to spot them. He probably needs to see the vet, but maybe if you just pamper him a lot and don't feed him much, it might clear up. Small dogs, when they get just a little sick will act worse than most human men, they will lay around and not move and want you to wait on them (sorry if you are male). anyway make sure he has plenty of water and maybe control how much you feed him today and see how he is eating.

He might have just eaten something unusual that didn't go too well with his stomach. Has he eaten anything different recently? What did the vet say?
