To everyone: Beware of veterinarians who want to xray your pet's skull when it seizures - an xray WILL NOT show the structure of the brain (it is surrounded by bone) nor will it show brain tumors. It is just an easy way to make a buck (or up to $70 depending where you go) off a client who doesn't know better.

It sounds like Epilepsy. You'll need a specialist if that is the case. Usually the vets/doctors call it idiopathic epilepsy when they can't figure it out. You should ask about some anti-seizure meds no matter what it is. You'll start low and increase the amount until you find what works for your boy. There are alot of different anti-seizure meds so ask what your vet recommends and do some research. Try not to get too upset (well, hide it at least) when he has a seizure or you could make it worse. He'll feed off your feelings and that will only upset him more.

I would also look into kidney problems or a liver shunt. Do you have a pool or fountain in your yard? My aunt has a chocolate lab that has seizures and it turns out it was the chlorine in her pool and fountain that caused the problem. She no longer lets him near those and the seizures have happened less often with less severity. The damage isn't able to be corrected due to neurological damage during the seizures but at least he doesn't have such severe seizures anymore.

if it was serious vets would notice summat wrong, it is probs one of those things tht he will need to live with. he is probs safe 4 the minute but mybe a shortened lifespan
