Either stop tying your dog up or leave him at home. If you stop taking him in the morning (for the walk), you can always walk him either after work or after dinner.

He is scared that is why he barks - it is quite common. You can get help from a behaviourist.

He needs some reassurance and training and he will be fine.

One thing - you said you go straight to work - what happens to him whilst you are at work? Can you take him with you?
