he was born 02/02/2007 and he is a pug. when i got him short after he got sick with kennel cough and a respiratory problem well it was a flu but he was on antibiotics for 7 days and he is been off for a week and half now. he is healthy and running around but i have never given him a shower. would it be the right time or at how many months are they ready to bathe...thanks
Answers:Bathe away! He is plenty old enough and healthy too it sounds like. Just use a mild puppy shampoo, so as not to irritate his eyes or skin.
Does he NEED a bath? Dog's have oils in their coat that protects their coat and skin from the elements.. If you do not need to bath your dog, it's much better for him.
I give our dogs showers,with me I know strange but it saves time on my part. They get bathes when they smell or have been playing with something dead. Bathe away. Just dry him really good.
