feel her belly, and her shoulders. If she has a firm belly and skinny shoulders, she's prolly preggers. Flabby belly and soft shoulders---just fat.

I usually respect what raspberry says, but today---her opening question was right on, but it doesn't take any majorly specialized knowlege to breed a dog. If her vulva is puffy or there's a discharge and she seems in distress, take her to a vet. Otherwise, know that most pregnancies, human and animal, are fully capable of coming to a successful conclusion without the help of a doctor or a vet.

I've noticed that Pekingese are hard to satisfy.

I'd say she's probably pregnant, given her disposition and appetite.

Is she getting wider? Are her nipples growing at all? A pregnant belly on a small dog looks mostly like a pudgy belly, and with a pekingese it's hard to tell with all that hair.

Take her to a vet and get her checked out. They can probably do an ultrasound to be more thorough.

Gestation for dogs is 60-63 days, so if she is pregnant, count on puppies soon!

Our poodle is pregnant and is due any day now. We've already been through this with her one other time. She gets a voracious appetite and her nipples are very engorged (big and round). She also can't jump on the bed as she used to.

OMG... 8 yrs, she should be spayed!!! She may be having a "false pregnancy" and should have been spayed by now. If Not she eventually will develope Pyometra!
