When i got my new puppy (7 week old German shepherd Mix) his both ears were standing and firm2007-11-25 2:54:47

Now his left ear is saged and became very soft . Is this some thing to worry ? what should i do ? please help...

we had the same problems when german shepherds are teething the ears will go up and down heavier set ears will take a bit longer some germanshepherd ears dont go up and stay up till they are between 6 and 9 months check the inside of the ears also just in case you have a small mite infection it will be easily distuingished by a brown gunge in the inner ear we are waiting patiently for our two pups ears to go up they are 18 weeks but be patient it will happen good luck... there are some good web sites on the enternet that you can also get answers from on this issue have a go anyway

Nothing to worry about. He's growing and as he does, his ears will fall and stand up again - maybe several times. They may stay down - he is a mixed breed.

It is important that when you pet him you dont touch his ears if you want them to stand. But as the other person said he is a mix so who knows what you will end up with.

I was worrying over the same thing.. My german shepperd's ears were standing when I got him (at about 2.5 months) then they were down for a month and now they are standing again (although the right one not perfectly)...
