When is it time to put my dog down
I would talk to your vet, and see what they recommend. You don't have to do what they say, but that can give you an informed opinion.
It sounds like you know the answer. It's a very personal decision. Unfortunately people are going to slam you here. You can tell that you did everything you could. Many other people would just dump the dog rather than treat them or pts much earlier.
Prayers are on the way.

Try this article. It is never easy to let a pet go, but it always ends up being the best thing for them when the time is right.
Not an easy decision but your pet depends on you in all things, and this one most importantly. How long can you/she tolerate the diarrhea? Can it be controlled with immodium? Pet diapers?
The vet can/will not tell you what to do but can advise you and cry with you. At least mine always does. (cries I mean)
Take a friend with you to drive.
Unfortunately, it maybe time for you to put your dog down. Yes, I understand you love her dearly. But you need to think of your baby first before her. This may seem cold, but your baby should be more important anyway.
If you decide to go through with putting your dog to sleep and you need a listening ear, feel free to email me. I know what it is like to have to put a pet to sleep. Just click on my avatar (the picture to the left) and click email rarhodes001. I'd be happy to help you.
