This is such a difficult position to be in.

You hate to see them suffer, and yet it is SO hard to put them down.

Talk to your vet they may be able to guide you.

You are with her everyday, you can assess how bad she is suffering more than anyone. You will know when it is time.

Can your vet refer you to a specialist? Perhaps a corticosteroid ointment applied to the affected area could help? I sounds like he has tried things from the inside out? Maybe something from the outside.

I wouldn't give up on her, she's young. Although I don't know of your financial situation - a specialist might cost you some bucks (but I've been in hock for my pets, lol, some people don't have that option though, I totally understand).

If you can, try finding a specialist who deals with this.

You have literally done everything you can. I always go by this golden rule, when your pet ACTS like it's suffering (and you know when this is) and you can do nothing else, you have to be courageous and do the right thing for her. Dogs sometimes put on a brave face, it's part of their natural instinct, but you will know when she can't be happy anymore, and that's when you make that call. It sounds like she's pretty miserable already. However, I don't know her or you, but I would suggest you take a long hard look at her and do what you need to,
