Sorry to hear about your GSD. I have 2 myself, one is 17 and one is 14 months. The oldest also leaks, but we have found a cure without medication. We dont give her foods like cheese, ham, general foods for humans. We keep her to her own food and treats. She had the problem when we first got her and her owners gave her everything that they ate. We soon changed this and she dosent leak now.

however this is a different problem for you as hers is medication that does it. At the end of the day think of how you would want to live your life? do you think that she is in pain and would you want to go if you were in her place.

If she is not in pain or discomfort then let her carry on. You will know when the time is right. We thought it was the right time at one point and we went to the vets and he refused to put her down as she is fit and healthy and runs around like a loony. We found that she was just tired! bless her.
