When should Golden retrievers stop using Lg breed puppy formula
I want to eventually switch to Innova EVO and it says it is not suitable for puppies because of the high protein content. My pup is 9 mths old

This is what I always told all of my clients when they purchased a pup from me. Large breed puppy food until 9 months old then put them on a high quality adult dog food. Golden's do not need a high protein adult dog food. It does more harm than good for a large breed dog.
I have feed my dogs Canidae and I really feel this food is excellent for the needs of your Golden from this point on.
Golden's continue to grow until over 2 years of age and they need the support of a excellent dog food.
Please consider Canidae when choosing a food for you Golden. A protein level too high can cause growth problems in your pup from this point on. If you do choose Canidae then you will never have to switch food again.
It should say on the package of the Puppy Formula or on the Innova EVO. I know with Iams, you can switch from Iams Large Breed Puppy food to Iams Large Breed Dog food after they are a year old.
I wouldn't do so until your puppy is a year old at least!!!
