When should I expect puppies My dog is lactating already

My dog is in the final stages I believe and ready to have puppies any time but what keeps throwing me off is, she has milk in and is leaking some fluids, but no other signs. We had her at the vet May 4th and you could squeeze milk out then, the vet told me probably within a few days, well that was a week and a half ago!! I've got everything ready for her and puppies but now it is just a waiting game. I was wondering if anyone with experience could tell me a little more. I have gone onto a bunch of different websites and read but personal experience advice seems to be what i need. She is a lab, and is 7 years old, this was a very unexpected pregnancy, still trying to figure out when and how it happened,( i know how but she has been in my yard or with me all the time, i'm thinking another dog came in our yard and got her when she was on her tie out). Anyway if i could get some logical input that would make me feel better. Thanks so much in advanced, and no smartbutt comments please.

If your girl does not have puppies tonight, you should take her to the vet for an ultrasound to determine how many living puppies there are. Dead puppies will likely not show up, so your vet may suggest an xray to "count heads and spines". Because of her advanced years, your girl will likely have a difficult birth and also likely to have deformed puppies. I would discuss the possibility of a C section with your vet to save her as well as any living puppies at this time.
