Since she has been producing milk for more than 10 days now, she is probably somewhere between day 57 to day 65 --within that range things are safe. Beyond day 65, the puppies will likely not make it due to one or more dead puppies blocking the way.

It would be wise to get her spayed after she finishes weaning her puppies at 8 weeks of age. I would not recommend it on the same day as the c section simply because the recovery for her from both procedures would take longer and she would be less likely to accept her puppies. Usually you present each puppy to her as she is gradually coming around from anesthesia --and will need to stay with her so she gets their scent but will not fall on them as she flails around coming out of the anesthesia.

this works try it. milk the dog and drink the milk. if it has a sweet taste to she is ready in 3 days. when it is sour it is around 5 when it is salty its less than 3. let me know if i was right! good luck!

I'm no pro but our dog would "nest" before she had puppies. I think she lactated for a bit before she was ready to deliver, so I don't think we used that to give us any clues, but she would start digging around in her box and arrange the blanket over and over. Within 24 hours, she'd have puppies. This is how we'd know for sure that they were coming.

Well since you do not know what day she was bred you don't know when she is going to have pups. 63 days gestation but who knows when that will be? Milk is not an indication that birth is eminent. B-itches 'can' leak milk for a few weeks before pups are born. Milk is also not an indication she is even pregnant unless there are other indications . like she is bigger and looks pregnant. B-itches in false pregnancy can get milk.
