you may not have noticed she was on heat - some dogs lick themselves, so you may not have seen, particularly if she is an outside dog.

Go to the local animal shelter, humane society, or pound, and see all the unwanted animals. These people dedicate a large amount of their time and energy to trying to provide homes for animals. Even so, you can see how many are there. Now imagine how hard you'll work to get homes for 2-3 puppies. Now imagine your dog has a big litter. We had a dog that gave birth to 9 pups once!

Then take your dog to the vet and get her neutered.

Your dog should NOT have puppies EVER.WHY BUY WHEN SHELTER DOGS DIE??/ Think it over....Only serious , experienced, (which u cannot possibly be or you would not need to ask this question ),LICENSED breeders of PURE BRED dogs should even be allowed to breed in my opinion . Of course that is just my opinion but maybe hundreds of thousands of sweet and worthy dogs would not die daily across this country if breeding just for fun or because owner is too cheap or too lazy to get a spay done (I AM NOT ACCUSING YOU OF THIS JUST TALKING IN GENERAL TERMS) . Also if your poor pup (WHO IS WAY WAY TOO YOUNG TO BE A MOM EVEN IF SHE DOES GO INTO HEAT!!) does have to give birth have you considered the cost of raising up this litter RESPONSIBLY for the 10-12 weeks prior to adopting them out?/ Puppy shots and worming on EACH pup???/ food for all when Mom's ready to wean them? How about the mess they leave DAILY for you to clean up ? And do you plan to just allow the highest bidder (if u are selling ) or the first person to answer your ad to have a pup? What if they are aniaml abusers or even worse what if they collect pups to sell to labs for research??? unless you are willing to take this chance then you must also consider the MANY HOURS involved in doing home checks and calling vets and neighbors of the prospective new families in order to ensure GOOD< SAFE< FOREVER homes for these innocent babes...I hope you read all these answers and give this some SERIOUS thought before making such an irresponsible decision as allowing your dog to breed. ITS NOT OKAY> Not for your young dog and not for the cages n cages full of GOOD dogs who will die so another irresponsible family can have one of YOUR PUPS> Sorry to sound so rough but we own and operate a pit bull n large dog rescue so I do know of what I speak.PLEASE DO NOT BREED>>>>>>>>>>>>DO THE RIGHT THING FOR YOUR DOG
