When you want to switch the previous dog food your dog was on how do you switch it back2007-11-25 2:54:09

I had my baby on Pedigree small breed but just now switched her to SD small bites how do I switch her back to Pedigree?

Answers:

mix the pedigree in with the SD

for example, this week 1/4 Pedigree & 3/4 Sd

Next week 1/2 & 1/2

Week after 3/4 Pedegree & 1/4 SD

after that Pedigree

How did u initally switch?

Always introduce small portions of the target dog food into your dog's current dog food at first. Then slowly increase more of the Pedigree and slowly fade out the SD small bites.

For example you currently feed 1 cup of SD small bites. Tomorrow feed 3/4 cup of SD small bites and 1/4 cup of Pedigree mixed in. Gradually add more of the Pedigree now to 1/2 SD small bites and 1/2 Pedigree then 1/4 SD small bites and 3/4 Pedigree then finally 1 cup Pedigree.This should be done gradually not withini 4 days. Give the dog time to get readjusted to the food again.
