I am in Florida, why you ask, I don't know.

However, Cane Corsos are a huge liability, so if you aren't familiar with massive bully breeds and don't know if you are allowed to have them where you live, I wouldn't get one. Now, don't get me wrong, I LOVE Cane Corsos, but I have had years of experience with bully breeds.

Some things to consider:

If your dog bites or attacks someone, not only will the dog be put to sleep, but there are stiff fines as well as jail time - for you, not the dog, not to mention doctor bills you will be ordered to pay.

To avoid this, a dog like a Cane Corso needs constant training, and I mean constant, not the drop him off at Petco for an hour type of training.

I have owned Boerboels, which are very similar to Cane Corsos, and I had to reinforce their training about an hour a day. It was rewarding and I had my own little body guard, but it was ALOT of work.

If you are not willing to put forth this much effort, you just have a lawsuit waiting to happen. Trust me.

Check with your state because I do know that particular breed along with many similar ones are illegal in many areas because of their aggressive temperments. It would be quite a downer to get a cane corso puppy only to have it seized and euthanized because it's illegal.
