First of all there is no such thing as a Teacup anything unless you're pouring tea into it. There is the Toy Group with AKC those breeds are called a Toy they are with-in size or under size or over size. All breeds have standards. Then you have your back yard breeders that came up with that name. They are breeding them smaller and smaller for the all mighty $$$$. Then if you get one you'll keep spending money because of health problems. You might want to do some more research, before you buy a puppy.

Your best bet is try to find one at a rescue and give him/her a good home.

well you have to defind what you call affordable.... even if you can find a teacup puppy at a good its not the price of the puppy that you need to consider its the expence of having a dog

"teacup" is a name bad breeders give to the runts of the litter, poorly bred or sickly animals in order to sell them to people who dont know any better for outrageous prices.

any good breeder or vet will tell you theres no such thing as a "teacup" anything.

they are usually TOY pups that have medical or breeding problems or are the runt of the litter.

in addition, theres no regulation in size - anything can be called a "teacup", though they are usually Toys.
