No longer able to care for 1 yr. old mix Ridgeback. Very needy but loveable. House trained, no accidents. Good watch dog.
Answers:Check your area for a society that places that breed and can find it a good home. Post signs in your neighborhood at church, Wal Mart bulletin boards that you are looking for a good home for your dog. You might try placing an ad in a local paper for it too. I found one of my dogs in a newspaper. A beautiful bassett hound that was free. They were just looking for a good home for her. That way you can see the people and how the dog reacts to them.

Search for a ASCPA around your area. All are no kill shelters, except for the feral animals that cannot be trained. If you got your dog from a shelter, they require that you bring him back if you can not care for him.
