Where can i buy a Papillon puppy under the age of 12 months and under $4002007-11-25 2:54:14

i have been looking for one for a long time, but cant seem to find one that is in my price range...

For that price you're looking at the pound (not likely to have a pappy) or a breed specific rescue. Some of the breed rescues have volunteers that will all drive short legs to get a dog all the way to its new home so ask if they do that. Be nice and offer some compensation if they do. It isn't required but it encourages them to continue doing this for people which only serves to help more dogs get to their forever homes. Here are some rescues. They should be able to direct you to even more rescues. Type in Papillon rescue into a search engine and you'll find lots of them needing good homes.

Papillon dogs are very wonderful dogs (as a pap owner I will vouch for this!) but they are rare dogs, my vet even said to me when I brought Ajay in for his first appointment "in twenty years of being a vet I've never actually seen a papillon in person."

Contact the Papillon club of North America, thats where I found my breeder Phylis Riley of Del Amo Papillons. They will have lots of links to breeders and shelters for paps. Though normally the pups will range from $800/1000 (males) and $1000/1500 for females. Definitely try a shelter though, there is a great pap rescue site link on the Papillon club's web site.
