Try a Chihuahua rescue organization. Don't support pet stores, puppy mills, or backyard breeders. The thing about "cheap" dogs is they cost a lot more in the end, because of behavioral and medical problems later. Chihuahuas are being overbred because of their popularity. Why do you want a cheap dog? If you cant find one at your shelter, you should go to a reputable breeder. Cheap does not always mean better. Don't you want a healthy, loving dog thats already spoiled and sweet when you get it. Or do you want a caged animal that only God knows what its been through already. Shelter dogs require extra time and effort and CAN be worth it. However, it depends on the time you have to offer it and train it back to being a good dog again. You never know how long the poor thing has been at the shelter either. Alot of times they are in a shelter because of bad behavior that the previous owner did not know how to handle! You should remember that chis are the smallest breed and they live very long. Aren't you willing to pay a little extra for a fur angel thats going to be loyal, sweet, and a companion that loves you more than it loves itself!!
