Where do I bathe my Chihuahua
Where do I bathe my Chihuahua2007-11-25 2:54:23
My Chihuahua that I got a few days ago, is starting to smell bad, so I got shampoo. Where should I bathe them, in the bathtub or the sink. Oh, and should I brush them afterwards.
Answers:It really does not matter where you bathe your dog. The sink would probably be the best choice since Chihuahua's are normally small dogs, the bath tub may be a bit large. Plus the sink allows you to get them directly wet, instead of messing around with scooping up water and dumping it on them with a cup. Good Luck!
that is a personal preference really. I bathe mine in the sink and then bleach out the sink afterwards.
my bf Jammie Lee washed hers in the sink
toilet and no
In the toilet bowl. Dip and flush...dip and flush.
JUST KIDDING. Why not the sink? Less back-breaking work for you.
I use the kitchen sink for mine too then wash with bleach. The dogs feel safer because it's not too big or deep and it's so much easier on your back.
Just be sure to keep a close eye on them so as you can grab them if they try and jump. Have averything ready, shampoo, towel etc right by the sink before you even pick up the dog.
the sink is best. if the dog will let you brush it.
They are so tiny I think the sink would be better for you. Sure after you dry them off give them a brushing. Its a great way to bond with your new pup. Talk really softly to her and tell her what a good pup she is. They love that.
sink or if you put the water really low in the tub. but the sink preferrably and rap a towel around it so it doesnt get cold.
I always took my Chihuahua into the shower with me. That way I could hold her and she wasn't so scared. I never brushed her but she was a short haired type. She died 2 weeks ago, I'm still so sad.
in the sink
depends on if you are more comfortable standing infront of the sink or kneeling at the tub but either is fine. I would wait until the dog is dry to brush as it will get more of the dead hair out seems like but there again it is up to you.
Because it is so small, I would say the sink. But put a towel on the bottom of the sink so the dog has something to grip. If it slips, it can seriously hurt itself. I think it is good for you to brush the dog after. You dont have to but you could. If you ever have a long haired dog though, I would brush them after their baths because that is when they lose the most hair.
it really does not matter, where ever you think you should wash him/her, i would prob...ably do it in the sink though.
