If you were GIVEN a pair of puppies, this doesn't sound at all a good idea at all regardless. Cause you don't have paperwork or you wouldn't even need to ask.

I basically agree with what everyone else has said, but lets say they are the cutest, smartest dogs ever, and you just know that they need to reproduce, then just make sure you have excellent homes for the puppies

( charge a deposit to reserve the puppies), and make sure that the families who take the puppies are willing to spay and neuter the puppies.

Remember that there are alot of cute mutts at the humane society for free so there is a good chance that some of your puppies will end up euthanized if you do not take proper preparations.

If the parents were AKC register you can have a DNA test done through them. You can get a kit from them at www.akc.org . You can get the prepaid kit. When you receive this kit from them you take the cotton stick and rub it against your puppy jaw, then you seal the envelope and send it in. They can do the DNA testing against both dogs that is in question. All my dogs are DNA tested so if there is any question I can alway prove who is who. All dogs when you breed them should be DNA tested.
