It depends on what I'm registering them for.
You can pay license fees at the shelter/pound.
The town clerk usually takes care of it. It doesn't cost much in New York state.
The American Kennel Club is the organization that you are registering your dog or litter of puppies with. You can register them at the local vet or you can do it on line. The purpose to Register is to show proof of a full blooded animal line to ensure that the breed stays pure.
Your local police department, When you go to register you will recieve the tags as well.
If you are talking about registering as in pedigree..then in the US it would be AKC or UKC (United Kennel Club) If you are talking about as in city/county/state then you would need to contact your town office.
