If you would like to guarantee yourself of not having a mut, go through a breeder. If you don't care, buy anyone you fall in love with at a pet store! The only thing wrong with that is...you don't know for sure what you getting?! I bought my supposedly "Husky" at Pets & Pals, but turns out shes a German Shepheard & Australian mix!
try www.petfinder.com or www.puppyfinder.com. Theyre very reputable. Just NOT from a pet store, and if you want a pedigree dog, make sure it isnt a product of a puppy mill. And i know chihuahua's are "IN" right now, so please make sure you arent getting it for the wrong reasons.
Pet stores get there dogs from puppymills, large commercial breeding places where dogs are kept in tiny cages, only taken out to breed, and not checked for diseases, so ur puppy could be very sick. No "responsible" pet breeder sells to puppy stores
