Where should my dog be2007-11-25 2:55:03

should i let him stay inside my house and he can go outside anytime he wants to? or should i just keep him outside all the time. i dont really want him inside now because he isnt trained to crap outside so what do i do?

Your dog should be outside so he/she can get fresh air and that he/she will not use the restroom inside.

first things first you must train your dog to potty outside or papertrain. this wont be that hard if you keep him temporarily in a room or kennel because dogs instinctively dont like to potty were they sleep. if you dont know how hire a trainer of some sort and the dog will probably catch right on. This sometimes may depend on the age of the dog. I think a dog should be able to roam freely throughout the house 87 percent of the time. think of how you would feel if you were left outside all day. Good training meanns a perfect relationship with your dog.

If you leave your dog outside how will you bond? I have always kept my Miniature Schnauzer inside teaching it outside is where it is to relieve itself and to run and play, but we also play inside. I alos let the dog sleep on the bed with me. I have never understood why people buy an animal and do not want to do what is good for the pup and in the end good for the owner.

Really it depends on the type of dog and your living environment. I personally have a little dog who spends most of her time inside and I have two big dogs who prefer to be outside as much as possible during the day and inside at night time.

well how old is he? the real answere is that he should go every where you go all the time.just like a child the best way to raise them is to have manners in all situations. However the age,size,type and weather conditions probably should all be an important part of inside or out.

Dogs are pack animals they want to be with their family, when you get one, you become their family so they want to live with you inside not outside where they are isolated and alone.

I have 4 dogs they all live indoors and all have been taught to go hold it until I let them outside, most of the time all in the exact same room as me

Dogs that a left alone outside, get bored and lonely, and that usually starts causing behaviour problems like digging up the yard, barking and aggressiveness which becomes annoyances to your neighbours
