I kno wyou don't want to hear this but, when my outdoor cat had kittens, she had then under my bed on my sheets ... : (

anyway, if you have a cleared out garage, i would let her have acess to that. I would make a small shelter outside (if you haven't already) and put some old sheets in there. she should make a nest type thing. She has her instinct, so I wouldn't worry to much, she knows exactly what to do. I would ask a vet about the indoor outdoor thing though, but in my eyes, she should be just fine, but I would give her acess indoors if she wants it, she knows whats best for her babys.

my siberian husky (also a large dog) has just had her litter two days ago Yay!!!, we have set up a whelping box in the garage for her. lots of room for her and also close enough to us to keep her at ease, (she had to go through a C-Section, so we need to keep an eye on her). Some nice water bottles under a couple of towels and old blankets should be enough to keep the puppies warm, if mum wants to leave them for a little while, its not exactly in the house but it is better then outside. it is all about comprimising with your dog :)

There is not one dog on this planet that is an "outside dog" Dogs are social creatures meant to be inside, especially when pregnant. If you have any heart at all, bring her in.
