which breed of dog is better? if i want a dog who is friendly, alert , healthy, highly intellegent, smart and a dog who can easily live in sweltering and hot tropical climate?

I love geman shephards.

Although they tend to have long hair which would be hot in tropical climates. You might actually want to consider an African Boerboel They are a beatiful bread and they are very loyal and family oriented with strong protective senses for their owners. They have shorter hair, shed very minimal, and are easy to train.

Hope that helps. (I have a fourteen week old Boerboel that is 50 lbs and very lean) - They grow to be between 150 and 200 pounds.
