Which dog food is best
I have a 19month-old, 45 lb Shiba Inu/German Shepard mix. We are feeding her Iams currently, but I looked at the ingredients and Iams contains corn meal as the third ingredient. I have heard corn is bad for the digestion in dogs, because naturally dogs in the wild would not be eating corn. Should I change to Eukanuba, try the BARF diet on her, or what?
Answers:dogfoodanalysis.com you are feeding your dog a 1 star out of 6 stars dog food-that is not a good thing. I use solid gold. Check out the site it is very intresting, and explains its reviews. Have a great day!
Eukanuba is just as bad.
I, personally, don't like the BARF diet. I could tell you why if you're interested, but I don't want to get hate mail.
Look into Innova, California Natural, Artemis, Canidae and Wellness. All are great, all have websites.
You're correct not to feed any corn or wheat. Also avoid chicken, milk and soy. Some dogs have allergies to beef too.
Good luck
I raise golden retrievers, champion lines,
I feed my fur kids top of the line Purina.
good luck, Debbie
Why do the Vets tell you to use Purina? Just plain old Purina? So, that is what I use. Also use table food.
EDIT NOTE: YEA! jon wade uses Purina products too....And he has champion fur kids too..
Royal Canine uses chicken meal as the main ingredient instead of corn. Plus dogs prefer the taste! Mine would pick out the pieces when fed.
Well. Iams and Eukanuba both are made by the same company and I'm assuming they contain the same ingredients too, so there's no use switching.
