Who's advice will should you take? Your vet has been to college+, and here, who knows what training we have. Even if we claim to have more experience/traing, do you really believe us?

I think that making your own dog food would be the best choice for your dog, but it would probably become tedious and expensive for you.

We feed Innova to our dogs. It's another pretty good brand.

If you're going to consider going with the "Raw/Barf" style diet, be sure to do your research to make sure you know what you are doing first. I've heard of some who have made their dogs sick by not doing it properly. As I understand it, this method can be rather expensive too, compared to even the best dry feed available.

well, home prepared food is both costly and time consuming. the mixture you have is not a bad idea, but you must also be adaptable. if your dog is a puppy, feed it more meat and fats, if he's overweight, cut down on them. you also need to have time to make it.
