I like both, but it depends on the personality and the color of your floor (and furniture if it would be alowed). I have a dog and it sheds really bad. If they both have good temperments, get the one that blends in with the floor best. You would rather have tan/black hair on a black or tan floor than white, and you would rather have white on white. Just think ahead.

They are both great, if you don't care about showing in breed competition go with the white. AKC doesn't recognize white in breed, but you can show in obedience,rally, agility and so on. Your best bet is to pick the one you fall in love with, no matter what color he/she is. Good luck;^)

go see someone with both of the colors and let the dog pick you. its the best way to find the pet that agrees with your personality best.

I had a German Shepherd for 13 years and she was the greatest dog I've ever had in my life. We had to put her to sleep because she had really bad arthritis and she had a stroke. :'( Her name was Judy. She was a black and tan. I think white would be better because it would be different and because they are GORGEOUS dogs! They look kinda like huskies.

I would also love both but would have to say the white one. I had a white one named Coke, he was a wonderful animal!
