Here are a few that are good: Solid Gold, Wellness, Canidae, Timberwolf Organics, Innova Evo, California Natural and Artemis Fresh Mix, there are several more but these are really good. They may be a bit pricey initially but they come out cheaper because you feed less. These are 100% human grade dog food with NO corn, wheat, soy, grain fractions, fillers or by products 鈥?and naturally preserved.

We feed the Canidae.. Dogs absolutely love it and their coats are so soft.. Lots of energy, they just do great with the Canidae..

We like it cause it has no corn, wheat, and is human grade meats, US suppliers etc. I have 2 that are allergic to corn.

We also chose it because it is one of the few products that don't contain the synthetic K (menadione sodium bisulfite ) that so many of them have in it. This ingredient is a serious problem in the foods..

We also like that the Canidae doesn't have all those poison cancer causing colouring agents that many of the cheap crappy foods have.

Overall it's a far better food for many reasons..

We feed raw. We tend to go back and forth between a home made recipe that has taken lots of research and frozen raw put out by Nature's Variety. My one dog, who is ten and has been a kibble eater most of his life, still gets a little Nature's Variety Prarie mixxed in, but our 4 month old Ridgeback has been raised strictly raw, and he is doing wonderful. The vet is very impressed with him. His coat is always gorgeous and luxurious and his eyes are deep and clear. His feet are wonderful... he is up on his toes. His temperment is great!
