Which is a better family pet, a cavalier king Charles spaniel or an English springer spaniel

Instead of keeping asking questions about, seemingly, random breeds why not ask the question "where do I look to find out where and when dogs shows are held within reasonable distance of xxxx" - xxxx of course being your location.

Go along to a show & look at the breeds, talk to the exhibitors (preferably after judging when they aren't busy) and see for yourself how the dogs scale up against each other.

You know your family, the breeders know their breed & a reputable breeder will tell you if they think you & their breed make a good combination.

Do expect to be quizzed about your home, your work & what you have for breakfast (Just kidding about breakfast but a good breeder wants to know that any puppies they put so much time & effort into are going to be cared for.)
