Which is better

I was wondering which one was better for skin and hair, olive oil or fish oil. I want to help my newfoundlands' skin and coat and I wanted to add something to their food. Any advice?
Answers:Olive oil seems to work better, I've seen many breeders using it. Fish oil smells gross too so I'd go with olive oil. I can't belive you have a newfoundland! They're such pretty dogs and I've never even seen one! Good luck! :)
oliveoil would be better ive heard that fish oil smells worse too anyway
fish oil seems to be the rage at the moment lol dont forget the omega 3
You can also try adding a spoonful of sour cream, rigotta cheese or plain vanilla yogurt mixed into his meal. Sometimes dairy products really help too, of course used in moderation and as long as your dog can tolerate them just fine.
Fish oil is healthier, it has forms of protien and omega 3's, but if you are rubbing it on him it SMELLS! Olive if you show, Fish for eating...
im not sure about neuffies but i do know my dog takes vitamin e for her dry skin ask your vet what he/she recommends for your pet ours says vitamin e yours may say differently
I have always added my old cooking oil (vegetable etc) to my dogs food (In moderation of course) and their skin and coat is silky and brilliant
I've used both, but I get amazing results in their coats by giving a salmon oil capsule daily. And especially with a newfie's coat, you'll soon see a difference in the shine.
