For the record my little girl Roxy is not yippy or whatever you said and she is VERY affectionate. People judge chihuauas and they do not even know them. My Roxy is the sweetest girl in the world. She loves to cuddle and love all over everyone. Not all chihuahuas bark and growl and bite...you a a very small minded person Lyra

I'm just saying, a Chihuahua may not make a very good pet. They can be really nice, but sometimes they are EVIL!!! Terrors are also super cute, but they can be EXTREMELY hiper. German shepards are very cute AND sweet, but they grow up to be really big. Pit bulls are also SUPER cute but have a BAD reputation. Try a Labrador retriever, they are loyal, sweet, cute.

The size you want will depend on which you pick. All pups are cute at the age. If you want a small dog pick chihawawa, if a bigger dog pick the german shepard, if you want a medium one pick the shitz zu or the fox terrier. Research them all before you make your final decision. My personal preference is if you have kids of your own or they come to visit do not do not do not get a chihawawa. They always seem to be too protective and do not do well with kids at all. Pick a nice friendly, loving, caring companion and not just becasue its cute as a puppy because they all grow up and then you have a grown dog no puppy anymore.

i think pittys are cute at any age. I would have to go for the German shperd out of your list though overall, newfies, tibetans, german sheperds, pittys and chows in that order.

I think you should look on the internet for info on each breed of dog. The difference between them when they are grown is what really matters. Are you set up for a german shep, or would a chi. be more sutible.

In my opinion, the chi is probably cute as a pup because it is so tiny, but German Shep. are my favorite.

I have an Australian Shepherd, the smartest, loyalest, and best dogs ever. Yet they require a lot of excersise and good training.
